Mr. Soefje focuses his mediation and arbitration practice on the resolution of cases involving:

He is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. During the last 23 years, Mr. Soefje has settled hundreds of state and federal claims involving almost every possible kind of professional liability, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, personal injury, construction accidents, construction defect,  business, commercial, contract, civil rights claim.

 

Mr. Soefje is proud to be a 5th generation Texan that has represented people and companies from Harlingen to Dalhart, from Midland to Texarkana, and dozens of big cities and small towns in between. The breadth of his own legal experiences from the most routine auto claim to multi-million-dollar, bet-the-company litigation makes him well-suited to help all kinds of plaintiffs and defendants find the common ground necessary to resolve their differences in the alternative dispute resolution process.

He is a member of the Texas Association of Mediators and Association of Attorney Mediators.  He also is a member of the Collin County, Dallas County, the Texas Bar Association, and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law in Texas, Oklahoma, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Soefje is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™, the highest rating attainable for attorneys. Fewer than 15 percent of all lawyers nationwide have attained this ranking.

 

Additionally, Mr. Soefje has been admitted as a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, which is an elite, honorary group of lawyers and judges who commit to advance legal education to improve the quality of legal service to the public and the public perception of lawyers. Membership in the Texas Bar College is limited to about 4,000 out of the approximately 93,000 lawyers licensed in Texas.

Mr. Soefje is Managing Member of Seltzer Chadwick Soefje, PLLC and currently serves as an outside consultant to OmniSure Consulting Group, LLC, a national leader in risk management and loss control services in architectural, engineering, and design professionals and medical negligence space.

 

He is a regular contributor and speaker for seminars, webinars, and educational training programs, as well as a contributing writer and editor to industry publications. He writes a blog, Professional Liability Update.​
